COMPUTERIZED SHADE ANALYSIS

Reduce Remakes and the Ensuing Cost and Headaches

Whether you send your patients to us for custom shades or take your own digital interoral photos and e-mail to us, our computerized shade analysis program can help improve communications and the accuracy of our shades.

How Does Computerized Shade Analysis Work?

We use a software program that uses photos taken with a digital camera. Photos are processed
on a computer here in the lab and shades are determined by a process of color correction, using 3 color
references. The software knows the reference colors and adjusts the image color to correct for lighting
conditions and camera characteristics to find the true shade and value. A detailed color map allows our
technicians to mimic adjacent teeth.
